The Passing of the Seasons

This is a feature that captures an image from the cameras at the same point of each day and, over time, a time-lapse movie is created. Over time, a movie will be produced that shows the changing of the seasons.

These movies were started on different dates and as time passes, these movies will gradually grow longer and show more detail as to how things change over time. Some of these time-lapse movies are continuous since approximately 2009.

Note that over time, some of the cameras may change position due to differing points of interest or a camera being moved or replaced.

"Valley Cam"	"Valley Cam"	"Valley Cam"	This looks across the valley toward the west. It has good low-light sensitivity and can resolve the landscape in moonlight.
"Snowstick Cam"	"Snowstick Cam"	"Snowstick Cam"	This looks to the south and west at the position of the winter snowstick
"Snowstick2 Cam"	"Snowstick2 Cam"	"Snowstick2 Cam"	The second "Snowstick Cam." This camera looks at a snowstick on the north side of the cabin.
"Cabin Cam"	"Cabin Cam"	"Cabin Cam"	This shows the cabin's west-looking face. This camera will shift position because it is attached to a tree.
"Northwest Cam"	"Northwest Cam"	"Northwest Cam"	The "Northwest Cam". This camera shifts its position because it is attached to a tree that is affected by snow - and it's growing!
The "North Cam"	"The North Cam"	"The North Cam"	This camera looks to the north. It has good low-light sensitivity and can resolve the landscape in moonlight.
"Southwest Cam"	"Southwest Cam"	"Southwest Cam"	This general-purpose camera is generally pointed toward the southwest, but it could be pointed at anything of interest.
"Meadow Cam"	"Meadow Cam"	"Meadow Cam"	This camera points at the meadow to the northwest.
"Under-the-deck Cam"	"Under-the-deck Cam"	"Under-the-deck Cam"	This camera sees under the deck and is used to monitor snow/drifting.
"Driveway Cam"	"Driveway Cam"	"Driveway Cam"	This camera looks at the driveway, pointed toward the northeast.
"Olympus Cam"	"Olympus Cam"	"Olympus Cam"	This camera, located in Millcreek City, Utah at WA7X central, is pointed toward Mt. Olympus.
"Curtis #1 Cam"	"Curtis #1 Cam"	"Curtis #1 Cam"	This camera is located on the Curtis property and is looking to the northwest. This camera installed 2 Sep, 2019.
"Curtis #2 Cam"	"Curtis #2 Cam"	"Curtis #2 Cam"	This is another camera located on the Curtis property and is looking to the northeast. This camera installed 2 Sep, 2019.
"Hummingbird Cam"	"Hummingbird Cam"	"Hummingbird Cam"	These are from when the "southwest" camera was pointed at a hummingbird feeder several years ago. *No longer updated.*

The "noon" movies are comprised of images taken at 12:00 noon and are usually updated by 12:15PM.
The sunset movies are from images taken every day a few minutes before sunset. Since the time of sunset changes over the course of the year, the time at which the picture is taken will also change - as will the position of the sun during the year. The "sunset" movies are usually updated within an hour after sunset.
The pictures comprising the sunrise movies are taken every day a few minutes after sunrise. Since the time of sunrise changes over the course of the year, the time at which the picture is taken will also change - as will the position of the sun during the year. The "sunrise" movies are usually updated within an hour after sunrise.

Daily Movies

There are also "daily" movies that go back several days, updated only during the daytime and a few hours before sunrise and after sunset.

The "today" movie is a "work in progress", showing what has happened thusfar being updated hourly with 5 minute snapshots by 15 minutes after the top of the hour.

Important notes:

Occasionally, a picture will be out-of-sequence. This is usually the result of a power failure or something else that results in the picture not being retrieved at its normal time.
Clicking on a link should cause the movie to open in your browser. If it does not, click on the link or right-click to save it to your computer and use a media program to view it.
In some cases better playback results are obtained by saving and viewing it with a program such as "Media Player."
Some of the cameras may be used during the summer months for other purposes, such as the "Hummingbird Cam" and the "Snowstick Cam"
Other cameras/movies may be added in the future.
